Guy Cheng Creations
Guy Cheng was born in a large city in China at the turn of the century. He came to the United States in 1936 to represent China in the Davis Cup Tennis Match. He later received his Masters in Business Administration from Tulane University in New Orleans. In the late 1940s he developed his art of jewelry while bedridden. He purchased an old schoolhouse in Charlotte, Vermont and used the building as his jewelry and silversmithing studio. His creations sold to Tiffany's and other fine jewelers. Many of his molds are still being cast today by his stepson, David Sisco, here at Designers' Circle Jewelers. His pieces evoke the deep values and characteristics of love, family, and peace. Guy's kind influence was enjoyed by all who met him. From the local kids he taught tennis, to the love and appreciation of jewelry he instilled in his family - his memory, and artwork, will always remain with us.
